Poplar Live Edge Slabs

Poplar slabs are growing in popularity as the rainbow poplar tends to have a really unique grain pattern with numerous colors that show once finished.  We currently have poplar in the drying process that is 50"+ throughout the entire diameter, which is why it's so desirable. Very rarely can we find trees the size of the massive poplars around Pennsylvania.  Contact us today to schedule a showing to see our current inventory of kiln-dried poplar slabs.

Introducing Poplar Wood Slabs

Poplar is a very common choice for those looking to use a hardwood for their project.  It offers a range of colors including tan, brown, green, blue, black, purple and yellow.  Because of the range of color found in some poplar slabs, it gets it's nickname of "Rainbow" poplar.

Though it's known to not be as strong as hardwoods such as red oak or white oak, poplar is considerable for certain locations because it has considerable resistance to rot and insect damage.  We often have customers using poplar for projects such as workshop tables, bartops, and more.

Poplar Live Edge Slabs For Sale

If you have a need for poplar slabs, look no further than Lancaster Live Edge.  Our sawmill specializes in poplar lumber and we often get massive poplar trees in our log yard.  These trees do not fit through our mill, so we cut them into slabs.  We currently have numerous large logs in the drying process in this species, so our inventory will grow over the coming months.  If you have any questions about poplar slabs, or you'd like to see them in person, please contact us online and we will get in touch with you!
