Live Edge Sycamore Slabs
We offer huge sycamore slabs. Some sycamore in our inventory has exceeded 4 feet in width and 12 feet in length. All of our sycamore slabs are air-dried for 2 years prior to being kiln-dried, so they’re ready to use for your next project. Flattening and sanding are available for all of our sycamore slabs, but can add up to a week to the lead time! Sycamore slabs follow our standard pricing based on width and overall board feet in the slab. Board feet is estimated based on the rough cut thickness, 3 width measurements, and 1 length measurement. The cost of the sycamore slabs above does not include flattening and sanding.

Sycamore Slab Information
We offer quality kiln-dried sycamore slabs. These slabs vary in shape and size. In the slab specs, the width is the average width based on 3 measurements. The length and thickness are based on one measurement on the slab.
Most of sycamore slabs are all 2 1/4″ thick or more when rough cut. They tend to lose about 1″ of their thickness if planed and sanded in one piece. If they’re cut in half, they will not lose as much. We have sycamore slabs in a wide range of sizes. Some of our slabs reach 50"+ in width. These slabs are rough cut, so the ends will need to be squared and they will all need to be planed and sanded to use for a dining table or other piece of furniture.
Sycamore is known for its longevity and hardiness, which is exactly why sycamore slabs make beautiful tables that last a lifetime. The lighter grain can easily be finished with stain or oil to give you a finished sycamore top. Of our lighter color wood species, sycamore has been our best seller.
