A truly one-of-a-kind piece. This dining room table features a beautiful maple slab that measures just under 7′ long (83.5″ length). It’s 45″ wide at the wide end and 42.5″ wide at the other end. The bottom features a piece of reclaimed barn wood attached to a metal base.
The top and bottom are finished with LED hardwax oil and the top features 4 bowtie inlays. These bowties create not only add a layer of detail to the table, but they also help join cracks in the slab that occur naturally. The two live edges of this piece were finished using polyurethane. The cracks held together with bowties also have epoxy.
The flaw with this table is that there is a chainsaw mark on the bottom. It can’t be seen when the table is sitting, but can be felt.
